A hand tied, invisible, tension free install of 9D micro feather hair extensions created by Freida Nestor. It combines micro K tip placement with a Brazilian knot concept. No keratin glue, no heat, no braids, no beads, no tension.
No. 9D micro feather hair is ultra fine, featherlight pieces of 100% raw hair. It is not regular human hair feather crochet hair, and it is installed with hand tied knots instead of crochet.
Each piece is placed on the same small section of natural hair as a micro K tip install, but it is secured with a hand tied knot instead of a keratin bond. There is no glue and no heat.
Neither. There are no braids, no knotless braids and no beads.
A Founding Client install is $1,700 and a Model install is $1,500. Hair is sold separately in the online shop and is never included in any install. A $300 non refundable retainer holds your date and goes toward your install. The balance is due at your appointment in cash or Zelle only: $1,400 for a Founding Client install, $1,200 for a Model install.
Most installs use 2 bundles, 3 for maximum fullness. Each bundle is 100g.
16 to 30 inches. Straight starts at $175 for 16 inches and goes to $325 for 30 inches.
Straight, Kinky Straight, Body Wave and Burmese Curly, all in Natural Black. Body Wave and Burmese Curly are $5 more per bundle and Kinky Straight is $10 more than Straight.
At least 4 inches. Longer is best. It is not just for textured hair; if there is hair to knot to, it works.
Typical wear is 3 to 4 months with maintenance. There are no move ups; timing follows your own hair.

Reschedule with at least 48 hours notice and your retainer moves to your new date. With less notice, or a no call, no show, the retainer is forfeited.
Yes. Your raw hair is saved at takedown and can be reinstalled with an Illusion Knot Reinstall. The Takedown is $400, about 3 hours, and includes shampoo and conditioning.
Every install includes one complimentary refresh: shampoo, condition and silk press. After that, book a Maintenance Refresh. The Maintenance Refresh is $260 and takes 1 hour 45 minutes.
Please arrive detangled and dry. If hair arrives tangled, the Illusion Knot Detangling service is added: $50 for 30 minutes. A $35 late fee applies after the grace period.
About 6 hours for a client install and about 8 hours for a model install. The studio books one client a day.
Hair is held at the studio for install day. No shipping. Hair sales are final.
The private studio is at 5759 Pacific Ave, Suite B145, Stockton, CA 95207. By appointment only, closed Wednesdays. Clients travel from anywhere.
