Aftercare

The Illusion Knot Method℠ is a hand tied, invisible, tension free install of micro feather hair extensions. Each piece is secured with a hand tied knot: no keratin glue, no heat, no braids and no beads. Every install uses 100% raw micro feather hair, and your raw hair is saved at takedown so it can be reinstalled.

Before Your Appointment

• Arrive with your hair detangled and dry. A $50 detangling service applies if hair arrives tangled.
• Tell us about any recent chemical service, color service or scalp sensitivity.
• Plan for about 6 hours for a client install, or about 8 hours for a model install.
• If you booked a Non Chemical Smoothing Treatment, it is done 7 days before your install. It uses heat and conditioning only, with no relaxers, no keratin and no chemicals.

Maintenance and Wear

An install lasts up to 6 months, depending on the growth of your natural hair. Wear time also varies with lifestyle, home care and your maintenance schedule.

• Wash every 7 to 10 days unless your guide says otherwise, with the hair hanging down. Never scrub the knots.
• Detangle gently, starting at the ends and working upward.
• Dry the roots completely after every wash.
• Sleep with loose braids or a low loose bun and a silk or satin bonnet.
• Every install includes one complimentary refresh: shampoo, condition and silk press. After that, book a Maintenance Refresh for $260.
• There are no move ups. The Takedown is $350 and includes removal, shampoo, conditioning, a trim and a blow dry, because the health of your natural hair comes first. Your raw hair is saved so it can be reinstalled.
