The Illusion Knot Method℠ is the name Freida Nestor gives to her hand tied, non weft, tension free install of micro feather hair extensions. Each piece is knotted directly to your natural hair for a seamless blend that feels as natural as hair growing from your scalp.
I have done most extension techniques over 30 years in this industry, and this one is by far my favorite for any client.

A Single Strand Technique
Micro feather hair extensions are a single strand technique. Each featherlight piece is applied one at a time to its own micro section of natural hair, so the weight is spread evenly and nothing sits in heavy rows or tracks.
Micro K Tip Placement, an Upgrade to the Brazilian Knot
Every piece is placed on the same small, precise section of your natural hair as a micro K tip install, then secured with a hand tied knot. The Illusion Knot Method℠ is an upgrade to the Brazilian knot, not the Brazilian knot itself: the attachment is built first, and the thread is tied only at the base to lock it. You get the even placement and natural fall micro K tips are known for, with no glue, no heat and nothing bonded at the root.
Feather Crochet and Brazilian Knots vs The Illusion Knot Method
A feather crochet install loops regular feather crochet hair through small sections with a crochet hook. Brazilian knots wrap bulk hair to small sections of natural hair with thread. The Illusion Knot Method℠ takes the Brazilian knot further, using ultra fine micro feather hair made from 100% raw hair, applied single strand on micro K tip sized sections and tied by hand, so each knot lays flat and disappears into your natural hair.
