No. The Illusion Knot Method is an upgrade to the Brazilian knot, not the Brazilian knot itself. Brazilian knots wrap bulk hair to small sections of natural hair with thread. Here, the attachment is built first with ultra fine micro feather hair, applied single strand on micro K tip sized sections, and the thread is tied only at the base to lock it.

The placement is the same small micro section as a micro K tip install. Instead of a keratin bond fused with heat, each piece is secured with a hand tied knot, an upgrade to the Brazilian knot, so there is no glue and no heat at the root.

Yes. Micro feather hair extensions are a single strand technique. Each featherlight piece is applied one at a time to its own micro section of natural hair, then secured with a hand tied knot.

It is designed with your natural hair first. There is no tension at the root. Constant pulling from tight styles and extensions is a known cause of traction hair loss, so a tension free install protects the hair growing underneath and helps you keep your length.

It is not just for textured hair. If there is hair to knot to, the method works. Your natural hair must be at least 4 inches long, and longer is best.

No. Hair is purchased separately in the shop before you book. The install is $1,700 for Founding Clients and $1,500 for Models.

Most installs use 2 bundles for natural volume. Choose 3 for maximum fullness or longer lengths. Your free photo check confirms the right amount.

Straight, Kinky Straight, Body Wave and Burmese Curly, from 16 to 30 inch, in 100g bundles of 100% raw micro feather hair. Straight starts at $175 for 16 inch.

About 6 hours, and the studio books one client a day. Model installs run about 8 hours for filming.

Up to 6 months, depending on the growth of your natural hair. When your growth calls for it, your hair is taken down and reinstalled. There are no move ups.

One complimentary refresh: shampoo, condition and silk press. After that, a Maintenance Refresh is $260.

Yes. The Illusion Knot Non Chemical Smoothing Treatment uses heat and conditioning only. No relaxers, no keratin and no chemicals, and it does not alter your hair bonds. It is done 7 days before your install.

Your hair is paid in full in the shop. A $300 nonrefundable retainer secures your date and goes toward your install. The balance is due at your appointment in cash or Zelle only.

Give at least 48 hours notice and your retainer moves to your new date. With less notice, or a no call, no show, the retainer is forfeited. Your hair stays reserved for you.

Yes. A Takedown is $350 and includes removal, shampoo, conditioning, a trim and a blow dry. Your raw hair is saved, and a Reinstall is $1,700 for clients and $1,500 for models.

No shipping needed. Your hair is reserved and held at the studio for your install day.

Yes, detangled and dry. If your hair arrives tangled, a $50 detangling service is added so your install can begin on time.

Apply through the Model Directory with photos of your natural hair. Models receive the model rate in exchange for photos, video and an honest review of their install.

Our private studio is at 5759 Pacific Ave, Suite B145, Stockton, California, and clients travel from anywhere. Appointments only, closed Wednesdays.
